I originally qualified as an Occupational Therapist from the University College of Ripon and York St. John in 1990, and later went on to receive an MSc from Coventry University.Ìý
As an Occupational therapist I have had a diverse career and have worked inÌý clinical, educational, and leadership posts in Scotland, England and Canada.
Most of my clinical experience has been spent working with children and young people particularly those growing up with a chronic illness, which is where my research and clinical interests mainly lie. I have held two leadership roles in the position of Head Occupational Therapist both at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and in adult rehabilitation services within NHS Lothian. I have previously worked as a Lecturer at the University of Derby and joined the team at Queen ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵt University in 2020.
I am currently Level 1 Lead for the integrated Master programme in Occupational Therapy, and also share the role of Admissions Coordinator.ÌýÌý
