Lynsay McGill, MBA, TQFE, is both the International Academic Co-Ordinator for ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ Global and a Lecturer in the Business School. Lynsay joined Queen ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵt University in 2021 after previously working as a Lecturer at Edinburgh College and in industry and this gives Lynsay a unique perspective as working within Further and Higher Education organisations and with global partners, allows for a broader understanding of the services provided within the education sector and collaborates with her comprehensive experience in industry.
Lynsay’s Further Education teaching qualification is from the University of Stirling and both her undergraduate and MBA qualifications were completed at Edinburgh Napier University. Lynsay next aim is to complete her DBA at ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ.
With over 20 years industry experience overall and having formed her own Events Creation and Management company in 2018 - Events With Moxie Ltd. - Lynsay continues to work in the Festival and Events industry - with and for corporate, private and public/third sector private individuals and businesses – which greatly informs her teaching practice.

Lynsay’s lived experiences creating and managing live events informs her key research focus with the practical elements of Festival and Events Management and the creation, impacts and outcomes of each area of the industry in relation to academic understanding and practical delivery, being of key importance to her research focus.
Since joining the ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ Global (Transnational Education) team in 2023, Lynsay also has gained an interest in how events could be both taught and implemented in developing countries with growing economies and used to drive student development, community fundraising, issue awareness and economic growth.

- The Festival and Events Management industry including the growing professionalism of the industry and how academic understanding of events management could and should be used more effectively in practice.

Module Co-ordinator for the 'Project Planning a Live Event' Module delivered in Edinburgh and in collaboration with ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ Global partners. I teach on the BA (Hons) International Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management.
