The Martlet in our University Crest
Queen ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵt University’s crest includes the symbol of a martlet. A martlet in English heraldry is a mythical bird without feet which never roosts from the moment of its birth until its fall to death.
Martlets are proposed to be continuously on the wing. The martlet symbolises Queen ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵt University students’ desire to keep moving forward and for life-long learning.
